At Camp Lead, we focus on hands-on learning to engage our campers and students. We believe it is necessary for our campers and students to experience real life scenarios and take learning into their own hands. Through our project-based, hands-on approach to education, students are better able to succeed later in life.
What exactly is hands-on learning though?
Hands-on learning another type of learning strategy for students. Students who experience hands-on learning are able to grow and learn in a variety of ways. According to The Thinking Kid, the benefits include students retain more information, increase in attention, encourage teamwork and critical thinking skills, provide real results, and entice students with an alternative way to learn. While each are important individually, when the benefits come together students are able to thrive and obtain more out of their education. When students thrive and obtain more out of their education, parents and educators are more likely to see their student/child succeed not only in school but in life too.
In all, through a hands-on approach, students are more likely to take learning into their own hands and obtain more out of what they are taught.
